At a special public board meeting on May 18, 2015, the Lakeland Regional Sewer District approved the revised USDA Letter of Conditions to fund the project. The funding from USDA will be a combination of loans totaling $20.089 million and a grant of $8.629 million.
The LRSD Board also approved an amendment to the Bond Ordinance reflecting the new loan amount of $20.089 million. The LRSD Board then introduced the Rate Ordinance for the sewer project. The complete Rate Ordinance can be found here.
The Rate Ordinance reflects a monthly cost of $69.95 for a single family residence once construction has been completed. During construction, the monthly cost will be $11.20 for a single family residence. A Public Hearing regarding the Rate Ordinance will be held on June 4, 2015 at 6pm. The hearing will be held at the North Webster Community Center, 301 North Main Street, North Webster, Indiana 46555.
