On November 6, 2014, USDA- Rural Development notified the Lakeland Regional Sewer District (LRSD) that the final engineering plans have been approved and authorized the District to proceed with Advertising for Construction Bids.
Below is the projected timeline for the project:
- As required by law, on November 14, 2014 and November 21, 2014, Advertisement for Construction Bids will appear in the Warsaw Times Union and the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette newspapers.
- The Construction Bid Opening for Section A of the collection system will occur at a public meeting held at the North Webster Community Building (regular monthly Board meeting room) at 6pm on Thursday, December 11, 2014.
- The Construction Bid Opening for Section B of the collection system will occur at a public meeting held at the North Webster Community Building (regular monthly Board meeting room) at 6pm on Tuesday December 16, 2014.
- The Construction Bid Opening for Section C of the collection system and the Waste Water Treatment Plant will occur at a public meeting held at the North Webster Community Building (regular monthly Board meeting room) at 6pm on Thursday December 18, 2014.
- The construction bid holding period is 90 days so during the timeframe of December 11, 2014 through March 11, 2015, the LRSD Board intends to evaluate the bids, complete the monthly Sewer Rate analysis, conduct public hearings, and close on the project loan with USDA-Rural Development.
- Once LRSD has closed on the loan, construction will be scheduled to start during the spring of 2015 and will require two full construction seasons to complete or the fall of 2016.
