Public Hearing Call to Order
The Public Hearing to propose changes and/or additions to the LRSD District’s Subdivision Control Ordinance (“Subdivision Ordinance”); Amended and Restated Sanitary Sewer Use Ordinance (“Use Ordinance”); and Amended and Restated Ordinance Establishing a Schedule of Rates and Charges (“Rate Ordinance”) was called to order by President Jim Haney at 6:00 PM.
- Present: Jim Haney, Mike DeWald, Bob Marcuccilli, Parke Smith, Frank Kurth, and Sue Ann Mitchell
- Absent: Joe Cleland
The hearing date and time were posted and advertised as required.
Jim Haney announced the changes being considered: The Board of Trustees of the District desires to add and/or amend certain sections of the following amendments which will be codified in the District’s Subdivision Control Ordinance (“Subdivision Ordinance”); Amended and Restated Sanitary Sewer Use Ordinance (“Use Ordinance”); and Amended and Restated Ordinance Establishing a Schedule of Rates and Charges (“Rate Ordinance”):
- Rate Ordinance:
- Metered rate shall be $35.06 per 1,000 Gallons of flow;
- Use Ordinance:
- Notwithstanding the foregoing, penalties charged and received under this Section 29.13.3 shall not exceed $35,000 for any one property.
- Subdivision Ordinance:
- Tap Permit fee shall be $120.00
Rate Ordinance Change
Rate Consultant, Jeff Rowe of Baker Tilley, was present (via virtual electronic connection) and shared the methodology used to determine the new proposed metered rate. The new rate is intended to reflect actual flow and does not exceed standard rates.
